Could a simple change in how you inhale boost COPD treatment?
NCT ID NCT05381415
First seen May 06, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study looks at whether people with COPD get more benefit from their bronchodilator medication when they inhale it at a higher lung volume (functional residual capacity) instead of the usual lower volume (residual volume). The idea is that the drug may spread more evenly in the lungs, improving breathing and making the inhalation technique easier for patients. The study will involve 30 adults over 40 with a history of smoking and COPD.
