Double nerve block may slash opioid use after breast reduction

This study looked at whether adding an extra nerve block (parasternal intercostal plane block) to a standard one (serratus anterior plane block) can lower the amount of strong painkillers (opioids) needed after breast reduction surgery. 90 women having the surgery were split into three groups: one with no nerve block, one with just the standard block, and one with both blocks. The main goal was to see if the combination led to less opioid use in the first 24 hours after surgery, aiming for better pain control and recovery.
