New tracer lights up breast cancer in scans

Summary
This study tests a new radioactive tracer called [18F]FluorThanatrace (FTT) used with PET/CT scans to improve breast cancer imaging. About 36 adults with known breast cancer will receive the tracer before standard surgery or biopsy. The goal is to see if FTT can help detect cancer-related enzyme activity, potentially leading to better diagnosis.
