New scan aims to pinpoint aggressive breast cancer

NCT ID NCT05634954

Summary

This early-stage study aimed to test a new radioactive tracer for PET scans, called [18F]GEH121224, to see if it could better detect HER2-positive breast cancer tumors. The study planned to enroll 12 women with advanced breast cancer to check the safety of the tracer and find the best time to take scan images after injection. The goal was to develop a more precise tool to see where and how much HER2-positive cancer is present in the body.
