New scan aims to sharpen breast cancer detection

NCT ID NCT05634954

Summary

This early-stage study aimed to test a new radioactive tracer for PET scans, called [18F]GEH121224, to see if it could better detect and monitor HER2-positive breast cancer that has spread. The study planned to enroll 12 women with advanced breast cancer to check the safety of the tracer, measure how much radiation the body absorbs from it, and find the best time to take the scan images. The trial was withdrawn before any participants were enrolled.
