First seen May 01, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study tested whether a newer type of PET scan (68Ga-FAPI) can better predict how well breast cancer responds to chemotherapy before surgery, compared to standard PET and MRI scans. Twenty-seven women with advanced breast cancer received imaging before and after chemotherapy, and results were checked against surgical tissue. The goal is to find a more accurate way to guide treatment decisions.
