Summary
This study aimed to understand why some breast cancer treatments eventually stop working for patients. Researchers analyzed tumor samples from 269 people whose cancer progressed despite receiving targeted therapies like Herceptin or hormone treatments. By studying these samples, they hoped to learn how cancers become resistant, which could lead to better future treatments.
