Scientists test drug duo to boost Cancer-Killing power
NCT ID NCT01251874
Summary
This early-stage trial is testing a new combination of two drugs, veliparib and carboplatin, for people with advanced HER2-negative breast cancer that has spread. The main goals are to find the safest and most effective dose and to understand the side effects. Researchers hope the veliparib will help the carboplatin work better by stopping cancer cells from repairing the damage it causes.
