New ultrasound 'Palpation' test aims to spot cancer without a biopsy
NCT ID NCT04841252
Summary
This study tested a new, non-invasive tool called the SAVE method to see if it could accurately tell if a breast mass is cancerous or benign. Researchers used a special ultrasound probe to gently press on the breast and measure how the tissue moves, similar to a doctor's exam but with more detail. The goal was to see if this quick test could help classify masses and potentially reduce the need for unnecessary biopsies.
