New tool helps breast cancer patients choose surgery with less regret

Summary
This study tests a decision aid (BCT Aid) for 160 women newly diagnosed with breast cancer. The goal is to see if it helps them choose between breast-conserving surgery, mastectomy, or reconstruction with less confusion and regret, and improves their quality of life. Participants are randomly assigned to use the aid or receive standard care, and are followed for 12 months.
