Scientists probe blood for clues to why age matters in breast cancer treatment
NCT ID NCT06718010
Summary
This study aims to understand how age influences the body's response to breast cancer treatment by comparing blood components in younger and older patients. Researchers will observe 120 women with early-stage, hormone-positive, HER2-negative breast cancer who are receiving pre-surgery (neoadjuvant) therapy. The goal is to identify blood markers linked to treatment effectiveness and see if they differ by age, which could help tailor future care.
