Scientists search for blood clues to explain why breast cancer treatment works differently with age

NCT ID NCT06718010

Summary

This study aims to understand how age influences the body's response to breast cancer treatment. Researchers will compare blood samples from younger and older patients with a specific type of early-stage breast cancer before and during their standard pre-surgery (neoadjuvant) therapy. The goal is to find clues in the blood that might explain differences in how well the treatment works for different age groups.
