Breath-Hold scan could sharpen brain surgery maps
NCT ID NCT03604302
Summary
This study is testing whether adding a special breath-holding MRI scan to the standard pre-surgery brain mapping process makes it more accurate. Researchers are comparing the standard scan results to results that include the breath-hold data in 33 adults with brain tumors. The goal is to see if this combined approach better identifies critical brain areas to help surgeons avoid them during tumor removal.
