New scan aims to see inside brain tumors like never before

NCT ID NCT04309552

First seen Jan 28, 2026 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 11 times

Summary

This study tests a new way to take pictures of high-grade glioma brain tumors using two special PET scans. The scans measure how little oxygen the tumor has and how fast its cells are growing. This information may help doctors understand why some tumors resist treatment. The study involves 8 adults with suspected high-grade glioma who have not yet started treatment.
