Scientists test new scan to see inside deadly brain tumors

NCT ID NCT04309552

Summary

This is a small, early-stage study to test a new scanning method for aggressive brain tumors called high-grade gliomas. Researchers want to see if they can use two special PET scans at the same time to create a detailed map showing which parts of the tumor have low oxygen and which parts are growing rapidly. The goal is to gather information that could help design better future treatments, but this study itself does not test a new therapy.
