New glowing dye could help surgeons spot hidden brain cancer

Summary
This early-stage study is testing the safety of a new imaging dye called SBK2-ICG. It is given to adults with malignant brain tumors about an hour before their scheduled surgery. The goal is to see if the dye, which glows under special light, can help surgeons more clearly see the edges of the tumor to remove as much as possible while sparing healthy brain tissue.
