Direct brain infusion trial offers new hope for kids with tough brain cancers

NCT ID NCT05956821

First seen Dec 16, 2025 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study tests if giving two cancer drugs (cetuximab and bevacizumab) directly into the brain's arteries each month is safe and works for children and young adults under 22 whose brain tumors have come back or not responded to treatment. About 20 participants will receive the drugs through a super-selective catheter. The goal is to control the disease, not cure it, as ongoing management is expected.
