Scientists measure brain harmony during social tasks to unlock Schizophrenia's social puzzle

NCT ID NCT07177261

Summary

This study aims to understand why people with schizophrenia often struggle with social connections by measuring how their brain waves sync with another person's during simple tasks like drawing and finger tapping. Researchers will compare 100 people with schizophrenia to a healthy group, and test if a 'fast friends' conversation exercise changes brain synchrony. The goal is to uncover the brain mechanisms behind social difficulties to inform future treatments.
