Scientists scan brains to unlock social mystery in schizophrenia

NCT ID NCT07177261

Summary

This study aims to understand why people with schizophrenia often struggle with social connections by measuring how their brain waves sync with others during simple tasks. Researchers will compare 100 people—some with schizophrenia and some without—while they draw and tap fingers together, both before and after a conversation designed to build closeness. The goal is to gather basic science that could one day lead to better treatments for social difficulties.
