Summary
This study aimed to understand the brain differences in people born with congenital amusia, often called 'tone deafness.' Researchers compared 230 French adults with and without this condition using brain scans and listening tests. The goal was to map how the brain processes pitch, memory for sounds, and emotional responses to music in people with this lifelong difficulty.
