Zapping the brain to sharpen thinking: study tests new approach for multiple mental health conditions
NCT ID NCT04296604
Summary
This study is testing whether a gentle electrical brain stimulation technique can improve thinking skills like memory, attention, and decision-making in people with various mental health conditions and brain injuries. Researchers will recruit 600 adults with conditions including depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, brain injury, and substance use disorders, plus healthy volunteers for comparison. The goal is to understand how this non-invasive stimulation affects different thinking abilities across multiple conditions.
