Zapping the brain to help seniors walk better?

NCT ID NCT03790657

Summary

This study explored whether a safe, non-invasive brain stimulation technique could help older adults with walking difficulties learn and remember new walking skills, like stepping over obstacles. Researchers tested 72 participants aged 65+ who reported some walking difficulty. They used brain stimulation during walking practice and took brain scans to understand how the brain learns these movements.
