Zapping the brain to ease unbearable nerve pain
NCT ID NCT07293780
Summary
This study is testing whether a non-invasive brain stimulation technique can reduce severe, treatment-resistant nerve pain in people with spinal cord injuries. Researchers will use a magnetic coil placed on the scalp to stimulate two different brain areas, comparing which location works better for pain relief. The goal is to find a new option for people whose pain hasn't improved with standard medications and therapies.
