Magnetic pulses tested to boost brain function in dementia patients

NCT ID NCT05440110

Summary

This small pilot study tested whether a non-invasive brain stimulation technique could improve thinking skills in people with a specific type of dementia called SNAP. Researchers used magnetic pulses applied to the head over four weeks to see if they could boost brain activity and cognitive function. The study also used brain scans to understand how the stimulation might work.
