Brain zapping trial targets MS fatigue mystery

NCT ID NCT07438964

First seen Mar 06, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study looks at why people with multiple sclerosis (MS) feel so tired. Researchers will use a gentle brain stimulation method called tDCS to see if it changes brain activity and inflammation linked to fatigue. About 84 adults with relapsing-remitting MS will take part, with some getting real stimulation and others a sham. The goal is to understand the brain's role in fatigue, not to cure it.
