Drug trial aims to shield brain from radiation damage

NCT ID NCT05720624

Summary

This study aimed to test if a drug called AEO could help protect or restore normal brain function in people receiving radiation treatment for brain cancer. Radiation kills cancer cells but can also harm healthy brain tissue. The trial planned to measure drug effects through spinal fluid samples and brain scans, but it was withdrawn before any participants were enrolled.
