Withdrawn trial sought to shield brain from radiation damage

NCT ID NCT05720624

Summary

This early-stage study aimed to test if a drug called AEO could help protect or restore normal brain function after standard radiation treatment for brain cancer. The trial planned to enroll adults with brain tumors who were scheduled for or had recently completed radiation. It was designed to check if collecting spinal fluid was a practical way to measure the drug's effects, but the study was withdrawn before any participants were enrolled.
