Brain cancer fight: drug combo trial for lung cancer patients
NCT ID NCT04964960
Summary
This study tested whether adding pembrolizumab (an immunotherapy drug) to standard chemotherapy could help people with lung cancer that had spread to their brain but wasn't causing symptoms. The goal was to see if this approach could control the cancer in the brain and body while maintaining patients' quality of life and thinking abilities. The trial was stopped early after enrolling only 3 participants.
