Summary
This study tested whether placing special electrodes on the brain can detect spreading waves of electrical activity that may signal new damage. Twenty patients with severe head trauma or brain bleeding were monitored in intensive care. The goal was to see if this technique is safe and provides useful information to guide treatment.
