Brain electrodes hunt early warning signs of damage

NCT ID NCT04585503

Summary

This study tested whether placing special electrodes on the brain's surface is safe and practical for monitoring patients with severe head trauma or brain bleeding. Researchers wanted to see if these electrodes could detect early electrical waves that signal new brain damage is starting, before it becomes permanent. The goal was to gather information that might help doctors intervene sooner in the future.
