Brain injury study probes the Mind's time machine

NCT ID NCT06823193

Summary

This study aims to understand how damage to specific brain areas affects a person's ability to mentally travel in time—to remember past events and imagine future ones. Researchers will recruit 66 people with focal brain injuries to see if thinking about themselves versus others changes how they judge when life events happen. The goal is to map which brain regions are crucial for connecting personal identity with our sense of past and future.
