NCT ID NCT03543371

First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study looked at how out-of-hospital cardiac arrest affects thinking, memory, emotions, fatigue, and sleep. About 200 survivors took memory and thinking tests 7 and 24 months after their cardiac arrest. Their results were compared to heart attack patients who did not have a cardiac arrest. The goal was to understand long-term brain recovery and improve screening tools.
