New tool could reveal hidden brain damage after stroke
NCT ID NCT07566598
First seen May 05, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study tests a new way to measure blood flow in the tiny blood vessels of the brain right after a stroke is treated. Even when doctors successfully remove a clot, many patients still have disabilities—possibly because the smallest vessels aren't getting enough blood. Researchers will use a special wire to check this in 15 adults who had a stroke and good clot removal. The goal is to see if the measurement is possible and safe.
