NCT ID NCT05335668

First seen May 12, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study looks at how a stroke can lead to long-term pain, called central poststroke pain (CPP). Researchers will use brain scans (MRI) to see if certain brain connections are linked to pain. The goal is to better understand why some stroke survivors develop this hard-to-treat pain. No new treatments are being tested; this is an observational study for adults aged 18-75 who have had a stroke affecting their sense of touch.
