First seen May 12, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study looks at why some stroke survivors develop long-term pain, called central poststroke pain (CPP). Researchers will use brain scans to see how brain connections change in people with this pain. The goal is to better understand the condition, which currently has no effective treatments. About 88 adults who have had a stroke affecting their sense of touch will take part.
