Early trial tests new immune approach for tough brain tumors
NCT ID NCT02669173
Summary
This small, early-stage study tested a new idea for treating glioblastoma brain tumors that have come back. Researchers gave patients low doses of two existing cancer drugs to see if they could help the body's own immune system fight the tumor by reducing certain immune-blocking cells. The main goal was to see if this approach was safe and could change the immune environment around the tumor.
