Scientists scan brains for clues to memory loss

Summary
This study aims to understand how certain proteins called amyloids build up in the brain as people age and whether these changes are linked to memory loss or other thinking problems. Researchers will follow 400 adults aged 55 and older from an existing aging study for five years, performing regular brain scans and memory tests. The goal is to gather knowledge about the aging brain to help identify people who might benefit from future treatments.
