Summary
This study compares two methods for inserting a breathing tube in emergency situations outside the hospital: using a bougie (a flexible guide) versus the tube alone. About 710 adults who need emergency intubation and have no signs of a difficult airway will take part. The goal is to see if the bougie helps paramedics succeed on the first attempt, which could reduce risks like low oxygen or heart problems.
