Botox for better scars? small trial tests injection after biopsy
NCT ID NCT05478551
First seen Jan 18, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study tests whether injecting botulinum toxin (like Botox) into skin biopsy wounds can reduce scarring compared to a saltwater injection. Twelve healthy adults each receive both treatments on two separate biopsy sites, so their own scars are compared. The goal is to see if the toxin improves scar appearance over six months.
