First seen Apr 22, 2026 · Last updated May 26, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study tests whether dronabinol, a synthetic THC (the active compound in cannabis), can reduce severe breathlessness in people with advanced COPD. About 30 adults with very severe COPD who still struggle to breathe despite standard treatments will receive either dronabinol or a placebo in a crossover design. The goal is to see if the drug improves daily comfort and activity levels.
