Bone cement shows promise for lasting hearing improvement in ear surgery
NCT ID NCT06221007
Summary
This study looked back at patients who had stapes surgery for otosclerosis (a condition causing hearing loss) between 2012 and 2020. Researchers wanted to see if using bone cement during the surgery led to better long-term hearing results. They examined 73 patients' hearing tests and asked them about their perceived benefits from the procedure.
