Could a special MRI replace CT scans for bone cancer surgery?

NCT ID NCT06988007

First seen Apr 30, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study tests whether a special MRI technique, called 'pseudo-scanner,' can accurately show bone tumor edges and help plan surgery, just like a CT scan but without radiation. About 122 people with bone sarcoma who need surgery will take part. If successful, this could reduce patients' exposure to ionizing radiation during treatment.
