Scientists map how lying down changes your breathing
NCT ID NCT07341113
Summary
This study aims to understand how different lying positions affect air and blood flow in the lungs, especially for people with obesity. Researchers will use a special, non-imaging belt to measure lung function in 40 healthy volunteers (both obese and non-obese) while they lie in various positions. The goal is to gather basic knowledge that could one day help doctors tailor breathing support for patients in intensive care.
