Can a daily dose of blue light lift the fog of postpartum depression?
NCT ID NCT06246214
Summary
This study is testing whether daily blue light therapy can help reduce symptoms of depression and anxiety in new mothers. Researchers will enroll 150 women, including 50 diagnosed with postpartum depression, to use a special light device for 30 minutes each day for a month. The goal is to see if this simple, non-drug treatment can improve mood by helping to regulate the body's natural daily rhythms, which are often disrupted after childbirth.
