Heart valve repair patients tested in major blood thinner safety hunt
NCT ID NCT07007143
Summary
This large study aims to find the safest blood-thinning medication strategy for patients who have undergone a minimally invasive heart valve repair procedure. Researchers will compare different drug combinations in over 1,000 patients to see which approach best balances the prevention of strokes and heart attacks with the risk of serious bleeding. The goal is to establish clear treatment guidelines where none currently exist, reducing variation in patient care.
