Simple blood test could replace invasive biopsies for transplant patients

Summary
This study is testing a new blood test that looks for tiny pieces of DNA from a donor organ in a transplant patient's blood. The goal is to see if this test can detect early signs of organ rejection before serious damage occurs, potentially replacing the need for frequent, invasive biopsies. Researchers are enrolling nearly 1,000 people who have recently received a heart or/or lung transplant to validate this monitoring approach.
