Blood test could predict survival in deadly septic shock
NCT ID NCT07401329
Summary
This study looked at two blood markers to understand how the immune system responds in patients with septic shock, a life-threatening condition. Researchers measured these markers in 56 patients on their first and eighth days in the hospital to see if they could predict who would survive. The goal is to help doctors better monitor patients' immune recovery and identify those at highest risk.
