First seen Mar 29, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 10 times

Summary

This study tests a safe, low-intensity exercise program using a blood flow restriction cuff to improve muscle and bone health in adults with osteogenesis imperfecta type I (brittle bone disease). Forty participants will either do home exercises with the cuff or receive standard care for 12 weeks. Researchers will measure changes in muscle mass, strength, and quality of life to see if this approach is effective and safe.
