First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This study tests whether using a special cuff that partly blocks blood flow during light exercise can help people with Achilles injuries get stronger and have less pain. About 57 adults aged 18 to 65 with an Achilles injury will be randomly assigned to receive either standard physical therapy or physical therapy plus blood flow restriction. The goal is to see if this simple technique speeds up recovery.
