NIH seeks volunteers to donate samples for blood disease breakthroughs

NCT ID NCT03937817

Summary

This study is collecting biological samples like saliva, blood, urine, and tissue from volunteers to help scientists better understand blood disorders like sickle cell disease, thalassemia, and malaria. Researchers need samples from both people with these conditions and healthy individuals to develop new lab tests and study how these diseases work. Participants will provide one or more types of samples over a five-year period to support future medical research.
